Conventional Surveying
Topographical Surveys
Industry‐leading Kinematic and RTK GPS units capture acute detail, which is passed to the client in the required digital format ‐ after having been quality assured by in‐house specialists.
GPS Control Networks
Dual‐frequency GPS units are coordinated to a local or national grid, in order to establish control. Control networks are all closed–loop and calculated using ‘least squares’ adjustment. Network Mapping provides full post‐processed control reports, together with station witness descriptions, for all control networks established.
Monitoring and Deformation Surveys
Network Mapping has extensive experience installing, maintaining and measuring monitoring systems to detect movement in dams, coastal subsidence, rail lines and tunnels, roads, runways and high‐rise structures.
Points can be monitored by
-
Total station
-
3D digital LiDAR scanners
-
Digital level
-
GPS
Setting‐Out
Fully-equipped setting‐out teams can be provided, to operate in the construction environment; experienced staff use total stations and levels to set out coordinates, points or lines from supplied CADD drawings.
Volumetric Surveys
The cost of earthworks comprises a significant part of any construction project; it is therefore imperative to attain accurate costing, before and during the construction process. The highly accurate 3D LiDAR scanner facilitates this, enabling Network Mapping to compare design information to existing and proposed land formations. Earthwork calculations can then be worked out and accurate costings made.
Allowances can be incorporated into the final design, at this point, to make the most of any cut/fill imbalance. Isopachyte contours are included in a detailed drawing and written report.
Volumetric surveys can be carried out on:
-
Stockpiles
-
Open excavations
-
Backfilled areas
