A mountainous new road alignment survey in the Sultanate of Oman, SW of Muscat, of approximately 45 km has been awarded to Network Mapping. The survey project, which will take place in Q1 2012, will include the deployment of aerial LiDAR technology, ground survey, and the installation of permanent ground control. The survey products include a bare-earth DTM, ortho-rectified imagery and full topographic mapping, which will allow the engineering consultant to optimise the design for the new road alignment in this complex terrain.
