Infrastructure development in NE United Arab Emirates will be assisted through deployment of Network Mapping’s helicopter-mounted aerial LiDAR technique for a detailed topographical survey of a proposed 10 km road and tunnel alignment.

A mountainous new road alignment survey in the Sultanate of Oman, SW of Muscat, of approximately 45 km has been awarded to Network Mapping. The survey project, which will take place in Q1 2012, will include the deployment of aerial LiDAR technology, ground survey, and the installation of permanent ground control.

We have recently been awarded a project in the UK to survey 76 km of existing pipeline. The ortho-photographic data, collected by a fixed-wing aircraft, will be used for inspection purposes.

Upon successful delivery of a 1,600 mile transmission line survey, we have been awarded a further 3,000 miles by the same US utility company. This represents a firm vote of confidence in both the ability of LiDAR to improve asset management and utilisation, and also in the high quality of data delivered by Network Mapping.

We have recently delivered 510 miles of survey data to a US utility company, comprising point cloud data in excess of 40ppm2 and associated PLS-CADDTM products, to assist with NERC compliance.
